The Visual Arts spaces received infrastructure enhancements for better access to art supplies in custom cabinetry and better functionality of the space with new lighting and furniture.
We have completed the renovation of the MS Art Room, to bring this space up to the standard of the rest of the MS and creating a more functional and inspiring environment.
The ISB Libraries received a significant investment from the ISB Annual Fund for a complete renovation and redesign
This year saw the final phase of completion of the perimeter fence and access gates, designed to keep our students, employees and whole community safe.
Because of continued and generous support from the US State Department of Overseas Schools, we were able to continue making an investment in highly trained Learning Support faculty.
The ISB peer to peer Teaching and Learning Coaching Programme continued to offer an outlet for faculty to collaborate with another faculty member and improve upon their teaching skills.
Eighty-seven faculty members attended the ISB-hosted Summer Learning Institutes in August offering a selection of individualised professional development opportunities.
This year, all four divisions were involved in two one week sessions to identify teacher literacy resources and help teachers gain a better understanding of literacy levels.
The Constructing Modern Knowledge conference was attended by seven faculty members.
Through a generous gift by the ISB Family Association the 2017-18 Annual Fund was able to support service learning initiatives across the school.
New streaming technology equipment was installed in the gyms and on the Athletic Fields.
Funds were allocated to support student-led learning initiatives in the MS and ES, including engaging outside speakers.
ISB continued expansion of the Visiting Artists & Scholars Programme, providing our students with increased access to outside experts and mentors.
We have continued making investments in digital tools that support student-led learning and design and maker technology.
