ISB Arts

Artistic expression is a vital part of life at ISB. Our curriculum ensures that every student has the opportunity to engage in creative expression through theatre, film, music, and visual arts.

Our courses inspire students to interpret the world in unique ways, to shape their individual artistic message and creative process, and to reflect on their relationship with audiences, thus nurturing strong communication skills and empathy.

Theatre Arts

Theatre Arts

Theatre is a dynamic and collaborative art form that encourages discovery through experimentation, calculated risk-taking, and sharing one's vision with others.

Our theatre courses challenge students to think about their creative message and process, and how they relate with their audience. Through the study of theatre, students become aware of their own personal and cultural perspectives, while developing an appreciation of the diversity of performing arts practices, cultures, and humanity as a whole.

Visual Arts

Visual Arts

At ISB, we believe in the creative learner. Nurturing one's capacity to express themselves creatively, and through diverse media, empowers exploration beyond curricula, introspection, and emotional intelligence. As part of our programme, students express their big questions, thoughts, and emotions, and learn that the arts can influence societal development by challenging commonly held perspectives with creative ideas.

Visual arts are embedded into ISB teaching and learning from the very steps in the ECC through to graduation.

Music

Music

Deepening our understanding of the world, its cultures, and its humanity through music is a distinct benefit of our artistic investment in every child. Collaboration, shared responsibility, focus, and the disciplines of rehearsal and performance are fundamental to the student musical experience.

Music is an integral part of learning at ISB and accessible to every student from Pre-K through to High School. Our programme offers varied performance opportunities as part of the curriculum and as part of our co-curricular programme. In addition, students have the opportunity to take private music lessons with independent professional musicians.

ISB Real Programme

Local artists & experts come to our campus to host workshops, share their knowledge, and collaborate with our educators towards developing relationships with our community. This is designed to enrich & enhance our arts curriculum while providing students extension opportunities.
