Once you have decided to apply to ISB, our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible, whilst also recognising that every child is different and sometimes it is not always easy to transition into another school. Click on the tabs below to find out more about the 3-step process.
STEP 1: Application
Instructions to Online Application:
Applications to ISB are now submitted online. Please read carefully before beginning. You will be asked to create a password so that you can login. Within the online application system you must then:
|1. Complete the online application form|
2. Choose how to pay the 2,000 Euro Application and Capital Fee:
|3. Upload report cards from past two years (and English translations where applicable). High school applicants must include transcripts from grade nine.|
|4. Upload a copy of the applicant’s passport or birth certificate|
|5. Send school questionnaire to a teacher who knows the child well. This is done within the online application process where you will find instructions|
|6. For students with diagnosed learning support or special education needs: upload psycho-educational reports and ILPs/IEPs (and English translations where applicable)|

STEP 2: Admissions Decision
As soon as we have the required the Online Application and all the required documents, we send your child's file to the Head of the relevant division (Early Childhood Centre, Elementary, Middle, High School). The Head and other members of the educational team review the file and make the final decision on acceptance. We then inform you of the decision and the next steps in the process as soon as we can - usually from three to five working days.
Please note that applications for learning support, assisted places, or those involving other special circumstances may take longer. Feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions about your child(ren)'s status in the admissions process.
STEP 3: Preparing for the first day of school
This needs to be done before your arrival at ISB:
If your child is accepted, we request that you submit to us the following items before the school starts:
|1. Passport style parent photos for ID badges. Send digital versions to Veronique Van Styvendael at email@example.com|
|2. Completed Bus form if you would like your children to ride our school bus
|3. Remaining school reports for the current school year and the end of year report upon arrival at ISB
On the first day of school, a member of the ISB staff will welcome you at the Chateau reception desk.
You will receive from us:
|Access to the New Families website, our Community Portal, PowerSchool, and additional important information*|
|An Invoice for school fees|
|During the first week of school, you will receive a SEPA Mandate Form for direct debit, parent ID badges and parking stickers|
