The ISB WoW Programme

The ISB WoW Programme

This week our Director James MacDonald is reaching out to you in the hope that you can support one of our most important extra-curricular learning experiences for students in grades 9-11, this summer. Listen to James talk about the ISB WoW Programme and how you can support us in this endeavour, helping to enrich the learning of our students. You can also read the email sent to our Parents and Alumni.

Now that we are beginning to transition to life beyond the pandemic, we are excited to be able to offer a number of our students summer internship opportunities in a variety of work settings. Working in partnership with the ISB Foundation in the US, we would also like to extend the opportunity for a small number of students who may be returning back to the US for the summer a similar opportunity stateside.

The goal of the programme is to prepare students for their life beyond ISB by creating real work experiences in a number of settings. Internships are scheduled to run from Monday 27 June to Friday 8 July and we are currently looking for companies and organisations in the following sectors:

  • Business, Economics, and IT
  • Science, Medicine, and Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • Urban Planning
  • Event management
  • Art and Music
  • Psychology and Counseling

Interns will not be paid for their work and, upon completion, students will be required to create a comprehensive reflection of their experience to share with the host organisation and ISB community.

As a host organisation you would be required to:

  • provide specific assignments to ensure that students receive an authentic work experience.
  • offer a variety of hands-on practical learning opportunities.
  • challenge students to explore their potential in a professional environment.
  • enhance and/or expand the student’s knowledge of a particular field of work.
  • assist the student’s development of transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership.

If you are working or connected to companies or organisations that would be interested to offer this opportunity to our students, please indicate your interest by contact James at
