About Learning by Design

Re-imagining school requires a commitment to changing culture, courageously challenging old assumptions, and a willingness to play with and test new ideas - even if they fail. Here's how Learning by Design 2019 worked.

What we hoped you took away from engagement in Learning by Design 2019.

Building on the success of 2017, we have gathered feedback, made adjustments and designed the event from the bottom up. We are confident that you walked away with:

New learning on an issue of relevance to your professional practice
A road map and action plan to implement meaningful change in your school
Connection to a large network of professionals with whom to continue the conversations.

New for 2019! Learning by Design Pre-conferences

Whilst the flavour of each pre-conference was different, they each offered you an opportunity to:
We learned what ISB is doing in each of these areas of school life | We met and discussed with other professional colleagues | We previewed the main conference and began to consider what it means to re-imagine these areas of school life | We planned time to re-connect through the conference to track our learning journey.
