Varsity Girls Volleyball Win Three Matches
The Varsity Girls Volleyball team had an exciting Homecoming weekend, finishing 3-1! Friday's wins over ASH and ASW were fueled by incredible fan support and energy. We also celebrated our graduating seniors—Argentine, Céleste, and Sophie. On Saturday, the team secured another victory against ASH before narrowly falling to a determined ASW squad. Cemre and Argentine were flawless from the service line, maintaining 100% serving across all four games. Leila led the team in hitting efficiency and total points scored.
Varsity Boys Volleyball Perfect on the Weekend
Varsity Boys played with confidence and flow in their technical play that allowed them to take charge of the matches. Friday night, Danny was sliding and diving over the court in determined to not allow the ball to drop. While our serves were not the best of the season, Linus came out with 100% serve accuracy.
Saturday, the boys brought new energy, ready to play even stronger, cleaner games. Serves were strong and consistent all around - Coleman had 7 powerful serves in a row, in one set against ASH. Attacking was more diverse and the overall drive to continue to play better and better was ever present. Varsity Boys remain humble, and hungry to play while being undefeated. Keep it up boys!
American Football Beat Brussels Tigers with a Massive Second Half
A tight game in the first half with the Tigers leading 8-7 but the Raiders put together a great second half on offense and defense. Strong performances by Max, Jonathan, Ezra, Haevyn and many others. The Raiders are now preparing for the DoDEA semi final in a couple of weeks.
Varsity Boys Soccer in Tough Against ASH
A challenging weekend on the pitch, however, it ended on a high note as the boys took 5 people who are wheelchair users and another who was visually impaired on an 11.3 km hike through the forest with an organization called Handi Rando. This touched the hearts of all involved, and for one guest who was on his third year hiking with ISB said “this was his Homecoming.” We are proud to have such selfless student athletes.
Varsity Girls Soccer With an Epic Battle on Friday Night
Three different scorers (Juliette, Anna, Lauren) led the way on Friday as the girls took on a strong ASH side. Plenty of physical play and a strong performance by Bernie in goal resulted in a draw, 3 - 3. Saturday saw a tough first half and a turn around second half of much better play.
JV Girls Soccer Continue to Roll
The JV Girls Continue their winning streak with two big wins against ASH! Congrats to all four four keepers Carmel, Elena (Fri), Valentine, and Anne (Sat) for the HOCO weekend shut out.
Congrats to Lilly and Violet for both achieving hat tricks in Saturday’s game.
JV Boys Soccer with two Strong Performances
Two excellent games from your Raiders on the weekend. An outstanding team game on Friday with a dominant 3-0 win with many fine individual performances. Louis was exceptional in defence while upfront Omri and Liam wreaked havoc.
On Saturday, the boys dominated the match again but two goals against the run of play evened the ledger for the visitors. The team has come a long way in the last 3 weeks.
U14, JV, and Varsity Cross Country Host Home Meet
On the Varsity side, congrats to Alex, Daniel, and Suzanne for their podium finishes on the weekend!
New Course Record!
Sebastian Baga got 1st place and smashed the existing U14 Boys record with a phenomenal time of 11:02 for 3km (and ISB is a hilly course).
Other strong runs had by all—the season is progressing well, and the entire U12 and U14 team is growing in both confidence and fitness.
Thank You!
Big thank you to all parent volunteers and our coaches for all your work in making the races happen on a beautiful Saturday!
U14 Tennis Travel to ASH
It was a very successful trip to ASH for the tennis team. They applied new tactical aspects to their game which paid off with great results. The strong games of both the girls and boys team have a significant impact on the confidence of the players. Great way to finish a Homecoming weekend!
