Varsity Golf Are Champions in The Hague

ISB golfers shined at the ISH Early Bird Tournament in The Hague, bringing home the team championship with a strong all-around performance. Jiao-Fu led the way, claiming 1st place individually with a composed and consistent round. ISB also had three golfers finish just one point shy of 3rd place, showing the depth and competitiveness of the squad. A special shoutout to Victoria, who won the Closest to the Pin challenge with an impressive shot landing just 1 meter from the hole. The tournament also marked the Varsity debut for César and Alex—great to see new players stepping up! A fantastic result that sets the tone for an exciting season ahead.

Varsity Golf Play well against ASL and FIS

ISB golfers delivered a fantastic performance over the weekend in the exchange competition against FIS and ASL. Ariana led the way on both days, finishing 3rd and 5th individually. Leo, Jiao-Fu, Victoria, Jack, and Hong-Wei also made strong contributions, with many placing in the top half of the field. ISB’s team score of 61 on Friday earned them 2nd place, and while Saturday's 3rd place finish came against tough competition, the team’s score of 134 was the highest recorded in the past three years. These results show exciting promise for the season ahead.

Varsity Softball take on ASL and FIS

The Varsity Girls had plenty of hits and runners on the basepath all weekend. Decision making is improving on offense and defense. We left too many runners on base to take the result against ASL, but both games were exciting and we're looking forward to the rematch in May in London! Shout outs to Yagmur with a couple great catches in the outfield and a HR! To Carla and Julianna who hit some proper bombs! And to Carmel, Antonella, and Chloe for stepping up to play for Frankfurt, as they were short players. The team is back in action on May 2 and 3, as we host ASP.

Varsity Tennis Highlights

Coach Yanak, in the post match press conference: "The Varsity Tennis Team took to the clay courts at Hotel Panorama in Overijse for a friendly but competitive meet against Frankfurt International School and the American School of London. Against Frankfurt, ISB played 14 matches, winning 3 and tying 2. In our 16 matches against ASL, the team secured 4 wins and 2 ties.

While the competition was tough, the weekend served as a valuable learning experience. Coaches experimented with various doubles pairings to fine-tune the lineup ahead of ISSTs, where doubles play is key. Although we were tempted by the beautiful weather outside, the indoor matches provided great opportunities for team bonding and skill development. There's still work to be done—particularly in sharpening our doubles strategy—but overall, it was a productive and positive weekend for the team. Theo and Pyper were also nominated as our team captains for the season."

U14 A Boys Volleyball Split with ASL and FIS

Coach Hugo, post game: "The team is improving, and little by little, we're starting to see the results of our hard work. I'm incredibly proud of everyone. This week, all that effort paid off as we finally achieved our first victory and to take a set against FIS.

We need to keep working on staying focused and composed when we go on a scoring run, keeping our heads and our mental up and staying in control.

A special shoutout to Ema, who stepped in at the last minute to play with the B team due to an unexpected injury. He adapted seamlessly and gave his best for the team."

U14 Softball Rise to the Task in Frankfurt

U14 Softball had an excellent weekend of play against ASL and FIS, with two wins, a tie, and a loss. Shout out to Lily who hit a grand slam against Frankfurt!
