PAYMENT CONDITIONS
PAYING BY INSTALMENTS
For families who would otherwise find it difficult to pay tuition fees, ISB offers a payment plan to spread the cost of tuition across each school year.
How does the scheme work?
The system is simple and designed to support families who pay personally for the tuition of their children.
NOTE: This scheme is not open to companies who contribute to the cost of ISB tuition.
There is typically an annual administrative cost of €200 per family. The cost of tuition at ISB*, plus 1% rate of interest above the current European Central Bank rate, is then divided up into a maximum of 10 monthly instalments (July – April).
**Only applies to tuition fees and does not include bus fees or other related costs.
How do I apply?
The payment via instalments scheme requires no disclosure of income and assets. Simply contact the ISB Finance Office who will be more than happy to set up this facility for you. Please contact us for further information and this payment facility.
CONSOLIDATED INVOICE FOR OTHER FEES* AND SEPA REGULATIONS
Consolidated invoice for other fees*
*except application, tuition,and long term (more than one month) bus service fees.
For further information regarding the SEPA implementation please visit www.sepabelgium.be or contact our Finance office.
BUS FEES
The ISB bus service is available for children as from Kindergarten, although Pre-Kindergarten children are allowed on the bus when they are accompanied by older siblings. There is no reimbursement of bus fees due to an inability to use the service for whatever reason. For families who would otherwise find it difficult to pay the annual bus fee, ISB offers a payment plan to spread the cost of the bus service across each school year. Please contact the Finance Office for more information.
Bus fees for the school year 24/25 are as follows:
Return trip | 2,865 Euro |
One way only | 2,155 Euro |
For fees for an occasional use of the bus (daily or weekly) please contact the Bus Office at buses@isb.be. To read more about our bus service click here.
OTHER POTENTIAL COSTS
Some services are optional and extra costs may occur during the school year. These costs will be billed at the beginning of each month through the consolidated Invoice. These costs include, but are not limited to, the following:
Cafeteria
The cafeteria price list, the daily limit on the lunch card, and the details of student’s food purchases are available to current parents on the ISB Community Portal.
Lunch cards are distributed to the students by the general offices at the start of the school year. A fee of €10 will be billed if the lunch card is lost.
Co-curricular
Our wide range of clubs, groups and activities going on both during and after school offers students the chance to pursue their interests as well as extend their knowledge of core curricular themes.
Co-Curricular includes everything that is part of our co-curricular programme, ISB Plus, Supervision, or ISB Summer.
Rental of Musical Instruments
Students are welcome to rent an instrument from the school. The fee for one year is 190 euros/year.

Student Support Services
We cater to a wide range of learning needs from mild to intensive learning and developmental disabilities, and manage numbers carefully to ensure that students receive the highest level of support and care.
Athletics
If your child becomes part of an ISB athletics team, you will be billed per season, per sport. The cost depends on the level and where the post-season tournament is taking place. For JV and Varsity teams there is a player fee of €270. Parents also pay the travel costs to any ISST or SCIS tournaments. These costs are billed during the season. For U14 Teams the player fee is €170 along with any post-season travel costs.
Financial Aid Programme
As an international school, ISB exists to serve the educational needs of families whose employment brings them to Brussels and who wish their children to have an English-language education.
The Financial Aid Programme is primarily designed to support existing families who experience a temporary change of personal circumstances and financial hardship during their time at ISB.
All applicants for Financial Aid must complete the Financial Aid Programme form in addition to their regular ISB application, attaching all of the supporting materials detailed on this form.

Applications are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee composed of the School Director, the Director of Advancement, the Director of Finance and Operations and the Finance Manager. In reaching their decision they look closely at the family's circumstances in order to ensure that they meet the criteria.
Payments in kind cannot be exchanged for Financial Aid under the programme. Payment in instalments is possible but failure to maintain the payment schedule may result in the loss of Financial Aid.
Scholarship Programme
ISB offers a limited number of scholarships to students who would significantly add to the culture and international ethos of the school.
This merit-based scholarship will be open to students of all nationalities and is offered on a two consecutive year basis for students entering grade 7 - 12. The intention of this merit-based scholarship is to provide access to ISB education for students not presently within the community. For families who are currently within the community seeking tuition remission, we have a financial aid programme available which is based upon need.
The criteria taken into consideration by the Scholarship Committee are as follows:
- Academic English skills (oral & written);
- High academic achievement in English language curriculum;
- Students who fit into ISB‘s values and mission;
- Academic achievement;
- Demonstrated skills or talents which could contribute to ISB’s mission and the school community.
All applicants for scholarship places must complete the Scholarship Programme form in addition to their regular ISB admissions application, attaching all the supporting materials detailed in this form.
Additionally, please note that ISB is a school for students from 2,5 to 18 years old and all meetings with our Admissions Team require the presence of a parent or guardian. As a day school, ISB is not a boarding institution; students attend classes during the day and return home at the end of the day.
Applications for the next school year should be received by 31 March.
If you have further questions about the Scholarship Programme, please contact us at admissions@isb.be.
