"The year of my internship at ISB was quite literally the best year of my life thus far. It gave me the chance to truly experience international living, while working with extremely talented teachers and culturally rich children. It made such an impact on my life that I have returned to ISB to teach and am enjoying this year teaching just as much, but in a whole new light. The opportunities, with both my career and my travel and personal adventures, seem endless."

- Norah Sullivan, Kindergarten Intern, 2003-2004

Part of the vision of ISB is to serve as an information and training centre for professionals in the field of education. One way we accomplish this is to invite new graduates from teacher training institutions to work as interns with our faculty for one school year.

This kind of hands-on experience offers a new college graduate a valuable year of learning alongside an experienced teacher. At the same time, our own faculty benefit from the challenging experience of working with a beginning teacher.  The collaborative nature of the relationship is professionally enriching to both individuals as they seek to learn from each other and further refine their own teaching practices.

The whole school benefits from the presence of enthusiastic and committed young individuals, eager to understand, support and strengthen our programme.

If you have a positive attitude, are willing to learn from others and are ready to work hard then the ISB intern programme can offer you a unique experience. By Belgian law interns must be between 18-30 years old.
