This is the first in a series of articles highlighting the impact of donor support on the ISB community. Since the school’s founding, ISB’s students, teachers, and campus have benefitted from the generosity of supporters around the world. Read on to learn more about how giving is currently enhancing our school community, and a little about how past giving has helped shape the ISB we know today!

At ISB, donors have supported the Arts over the years in important ways, including gifts to the ISB Annual Fund, donations of instruments and equipment in support of the performing and visual arts, and of course the phenomenal volunteer and fundraising efforts of the Arts Council. This year, the ISB community will join together to support the Arts in a special way, with all funds raised at ISB Night dedicated to enhancing the Arts education experience for our students.

Specifically, funds raised at ISB Night 2017 will support:

  • Enhancing Learning: Establishment of a Multimedia Centre to empower students from different artistic disciplines (including visual arts, performing arts, journalism, and cinema) to create in a collaborative environment
  • Excellence in Teaching: Expansion of the Visiting Artists & Scholars Programme, providing our students with increased access to outside experts and mentors, and our teachers with opportunities to learn from experts in their fields
  • Improving our Campus: Acoustical enhancement of the ISB theatre to support the performing arts and ISB community experience

These enhancements will add significantly to the learning experience for not only our performing and visual arts students, but also for students doing creative work in the areas of journalism, video production, photography, creative writing, and design & maker technologies.
