“Diverse resources that provide insights into the experiences of others and that validate those experiences are the essence of an international collection and form a backdrop for an international education. Providing access to these resources in a variety of formats is one of the primary goals of the ISB libraries and is considered by many to be one of the key ways that the libraries contribute to the development of international citizens at ISB.”

Kimete Basha i Novosejt, Head of the MHS Library
Jeffrey Brewster, Head of the ECC/ES Library

Today it is imperative that young people are provided with opportunities to read, understand and use a wide range of texts and media if they are going to be able to participate fully in their world and to function competently in the modern workplace. The library teams, working together with the classroom teachers, provide students with multiple pathways to learning and, in so doing, are proud of their direct involvement in every student’s journey towards becoming able independent learners and thoughtful and caring international citizens.

At ISB we have two well stocked libraries; one serving the Early Childhood Centre and Elementary School and the other the Middle and High Schools. We encourage our families as well as our students to use the space and to profit from our vast range of resources. The library catalogue [OPAC] and subscription databases are available online to all members of the ISB community anywhere, anytime.
