Who owns ISB?

ISB is a not-for-profit organization, set up as an "asbl" (association sans but lucratif). Under Belgian law the asbl is a legal entity, governed by its statutes which are published in the Moniteur Belge. The Château and grounds of the school are leased and an annual rent is paid. The lease has been regularly renewed since it was first taken out in 1953. The next renewal date is 2036.

Who runs ISB?

The school Director, Kevin Bartlett, working with his senior management team, is responsible for the leadership and management of the school.

The Board of Trustees works in partnership with the Director and his team and operates on a strategic level. The Board is the guardian of the school's mission and creates the long range plan against which the success of the mission can be regularly measured.
