| | Announcing a Whirlwind U.S. Alumni Tour with Director Lee Fertig This fall, Director Lee Fertig will be travelling to four cities in the U.S. to meet ISB Alumni and to make a deeper connection with the richness of ISB's great history and culture. The ISB Alumni Office would like to invite alumni who either live in these areas or just may be passing through to come to one of these events. We look forward to hearing your memories of ISB, as well as how your time there has shaped the new memories you create each and every day. Read more | | ISB Hosts First Ever Alumni Gathering in Korea On July 11, 2015, ISB hosted its first-ever Alumni Gathering in Seoul, Korea. The event, which had been over a year in the making and resulted from the interest and initiative of the Korean alumni community, attracted over 60 ISBers, including former and current students, parents, teachers, and friends from the Seoul community.

| | The International School of Brussels' Korean Connection A delegation from the International School of Brussels (ISB), one of the world's leading international schools, presented on "Choosing the Right International School" at the JW Marriott Hotel, Dongdaemun Square, Seoul, on July 8, 2015. ISB also held a reunion for its Korean alumni on July 11th at the same location. 10 Magazine (www.10mag.com), an expat publication based in Seoul, took this opportunity to interview an ISB Alumni to help get the word out about the events.

| Back to School at ISB – Students Speak! 1500 students and their families arrived on Wednesday 26 August to begin the 2015-16 school year. In addition to those returning to ISB after the summer break, ISB was delighted to welcome more than 330 new students from all corners of the globe.
The first few days back at school are always filled with mixed emotions and who better to share their feelings than the students themselves! These 9th Graders let us know what it is like to be back at ISB for another school year. | 1970s Catch up with: Sue Ann Kearns who taught First Grade at ISB for the school year 1971-1972. Wendy Booker (née Lob) ’72 Patti McCarthy (née Hewstone) ‘73 attended ISB in the late 1960's but recently revisited ISB in March 2015 with her sister. Faculty member Eliane Van Stichel met with former student Steve Szydlowski ’78 in June 2015 at a local watering hole in Central Brussels. | 1980s Read updates from: Alex van Hoeken ’86 who ISB from 1981 to 1986, and he says that the two memories that have vividly stayed with him are of “Dr. Nimmons asking the class to write excuses for incomplete homework on 100 USD bills, and Dr. Prozzi looking at students during an exam and making a cut throat gesture with his finger…. guaranteed to make them all concentrate more!” | 1990s Hear from: Mary-Ann Sullivan who worked at ISB in the high school as the Head of Guidance from 1990-1997 and again in 2009-2011. | | Bringing the Great Outdoors Into the Learning Experience – An Alumna Tribute Treacy Shields joined the ISB Faculty as a mathematics specialist in the Learning Support Center in 1991. Together with Sue Baudoux they were able to support students in all academic disciplines and Treacy specifically helped students become better math and science students by finding and using their unique strengths as learners.
